1989 Lola, driven by Gary Bettenhausen for John Menard in the 1990 Indianapolis 500. Gary qualified the Buick powered entry in the 18th position @217.264. He retired early on lap 39 with a wheel bearing failure. The car was used as a show car for Menards thru out the early/mid 90's.The car is now going thru a complete restoration, at Pat Bennett Race Cars, back to its original 1990 livery. The car is fitted with a Nascar style 4.2 liter Buick V-6. The car is carbureted, has onboard starter, battery and alternator. It will be a very easy car to start and run. The car will be ready and fully sorted making its debut at the Indy Legends Day at IMS may 2020, 30 years since the last time it was at the Speedway
