Description
47 Ford Modified Race Car. Original car, circa 1960's. 400hp 327 Chevy motor bored 60 over, 3sp trans, 9” Ford rear end, disk brakes, Chevy front clip, coil springs with weight jacks. The car was totaly rebuilt one year ago and has been raced at local paved short tracks with the Virginia Old Timers racing club. The motor was professionally built by a local race shop (this area is where all the NASCAR Cup cars are built), and run in on the dyno. It has a broad 400 lb/ft torque curve particularly suited to short track racing. The car is truly race ready.
History
The history of the car is unknown. When I was repainting the car I sanded through 4 layers of painted on numbers on the roof.
