Vettel was worthy. I'm glad fate didn't csnopire to rob him of the title. I thought it would go to Alonso running a steady fourth, and that was all he needed to do. Before the weekend there was lots of speculation about Vettel moving over to let Webber take the win and the championship in a Red Bull one-two finish. As things played out in the race, it was Webber who was in position to deliver Vettel the title if he could pass Alonso and demote him to fifth. Yet Webber was unable to do that. It all came down to the drivers that pitted on lap one to change to the primary tires. Petrov and Rosberg got the track position when everybody else pitted for tires later on. Alonso was then helpless in clawing back to fourth position, stuck behind Petrov. So the Formula 1 title went to the right man. And as big titles go, too bad Will Power couldn't hang onto the IndyCar title. The Infineon winner deserved that one. Now we just have to wait and see if Jimmy Johnson can be dethroned. If so, I'll officially declare this a pretty good year for racing. It's not that I don't like Johnson; it's just that it will be better for the sport if he's beaten.
